A Day Out at Beetham Nurseries
We might be biased, but we think a trip to our garden centre in Kendal is the perfect Mother's Day treat. March is a fantastic time to visit Beetham Nurseries, as the Growing Nursery has reopened. You'll be able to see the first blooms of spring, stroll around our specialised growing area and pick up unusual plants, all of which have been grown on-site at Beetham Nurseries. Of course, our expert gardeners are on hand if you or your mum have any questions about any of the plants in the Growing Nursery.
Venture into the main garden centre and visit The Food Hall, where can you browse locally sourced luxury food and drink before heading to The Garden Café for a bite to eat. We're always serving up delicious homemade cakes, and if you join us before 3pm, you can get a hearty lunch or light bite – depending on how hungry you are!
Crafting Workshops
If you want to gift your mum an experience she won't forget, why not book a place on one of our upcoming 2022 workshops? We've got tons of events planned for The Terrace, which are all hosted by professionals and give attendees the chance to watch, learn, and try their hand at a new skill. Classes will take place in our new marquee, so you don't have to worry about rain, and many of the ticket prices include drinks, a freshly prepared lunch and homemade sweet treats.
