Tuesday 5th April 2022 - Weave your Own Sweet Pea Obelisk Workshop (Now Sold Out)

Come along and learn how to make your own plant supports using the finest quality willow. You will be shown several different weaves to use on the obelisk you make.
The finished Obelisks are great for growing Sweet Peas or even for placing over tall growing herbaceous plants to support them. Steve & Simone from Willowpool Designs will be bringing along a selection of different sized willow to work with.
Suitable for beginners, this work will allow you to learn a fantastic new skill and display your own hard work in the garden for many years to come!

The aim is for you to achieve the very most of your garden site, whatever you may feel its limitations may be! Come along and join Marguerite Hughes in learning how to make the most of your garden throughout the seasons, all year round.
This detailed workshop will include planting & design tips, plant suggestions & plant combinations for challenging spots & how to achieve long term interest in such areas.
There will be lots of practical advice on things such as testing & improving your soil & understanding factors such as aspect and space. The last 30 minutes of the workshop will allow for summary, round up and Q&A so you will be sure to leave with plenty of knowledge and inspiration to tackle your own garden and make the most of it.
