Beginners Air Dry Clay Workshop
Join Nicola Hunter-Dale to create and paint some beautiful air dry clay pieces. She will share with you creative techniques to help you hone your skills so you can keep on creating in the future.
This workshop is for anyone interested in creating lovely artwork as a sustainable hobby. Air-dried clay enables you to learn techniques used in ceramics but without the need for a kiln. Whether you are a complete beginner or you have some previous experience, on your own for some well-deserved 'me' time, or with a friend or family member looking for a shared experience, it is intended to be an enjoyable, relaxing day. Nicola will share with you some creative techniques that will help you compose bespoke, beautiful pieces to treasure and keep on making in the future. There will be an opportunity to create and paint a number of different pieces throughout the day, including wall hangings, bowls, tea lights or small ornamental vases.
Equipment needed: Clay can get messy, so please bring an apron. All other materials will be provided.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, a freshly made lunch, and a home-baked sweet treat. Seating in the Marquee is metal chairs or benches, so you may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.
