Contemporary Gilding Workshop

You will be taught about the art of gilding, how it has changed over time and how you can use it in your own home to give anything a new gilded sparkle. You will gild a picture frame, plus a seasonal ornament, object or fresh flower — which will make stunning momentos of the day.

Amelia has a Master's Degree in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage from the University of Lincoln. She is a gilt frame, objects and decorative surfaces conservator and restorer and has worked in the Fine Arts sector for over 4 years gaining extensive experience in restoring and conserving antiques. 

The Details

This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, and a home-baked sweet treat. Seating in the Marquee is metal chairs or benches, so you may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.
