Plant Masterclass: Spring Shrubs
An informative and practical workshop where you will discover everything you need to know about star shrubs for spring. The session will illustrate how to use such shrubs in your garden for impact and long term interest. There will be advice and recommendations on a range of spring shrubs including Camellias, Magnolias, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Lilac and Quince. There will be tips on planting and growing techniques including choosing the right sites, aftercare, pruning and top plant combinations.
The last 30 minutes of the session will allow for summary round up and Q & A.
All you need to bring with you on the day is a notebook and pen. You will be given handouts relevant to the workshop to take home. There will be lots of opportunities during the day to handle materials referred to during the session. The workshop is very interactive and at any point during the day you can ask questions relating to your own gardens.
The Details
This workshop will take place on our Terrace (to the right of The Garden Cafe) in our Marquee. Please wear suitable clothing, although it is heated on cooler days. Your ticket price includes tea, coffee, a freshly made lunch, and a home-baked sweet treat. Seating in the Marquee is metal chairs or benches, so you may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.
